Some more infos about the doom zones (Wrote by Himber from his playset webside spectrumisgreen):

Mighty Max Bytes Cyberskull (also known as Cyro-Skull).Mighty Max Sinks Nautilus (also known as Sea Slug) (RARE).Mighty Max Lashes Lizard (also known as Lashes Geela Guts) (RARE).Mighty Max Grips the Hand (also known as Mighty Max Crushes the Hand) (RARE).Mighty Max Saves the Kingdom of Gargantua (renamed Mighty Max Tangles With the Ape King in North America).Mighty Max Stings Scorpio (renamed Mighty Max Stings Scorpion in South Africa).Mighty Max Grapples with Hellcat (renamed Mighty Max Grapples With Battle Cat in North America).Mighty Max Blows Up Mutasaurus (renamed Mighty Max Blows Up Dino Lab in North America).Mighty Max Caught in the Jaws of Doom (renamed Mighty Max Caught by the Man-Eater in North America).Conquers the Temple of Venom (renamed to Conquers the Palace of Poison in the USA).Some of the toys featured a short comic on the back of the packaging summarizing Max's adventure in that zone. How was he to know it made him 'the Mighty One', able to travel instantly from place to place by means of time Portals? And how were Max, his Cosmic Cap and his two friends and protectors, wise old Virgil and fearless Norman gonna' measure up against the ultimate evil of the Skull Master!!? Toys The older Doom Zones, Horror Heads and playsets were re-released with the original story replaced with the revised one: Max was bright and pretty good at getting in and out of trouble, but he'd never forget the day he broke his Mom's mysterious old statue and found the Cosmic Cap inside. The appearance of Max changed considerably he was no longer portrayed as a young boy but as a taller adolescent with longer hair and an untucked shirt, similar to his portrayal in the television series.
Mighty max doom zones bytes cyberskull series#
The story on the packaging was revised accordingly, and a short-lived comic book series by Marvel UK was created as well. After the series began to air, the characters Virgil and Norman and toys based on episodes of the series were added to the toyline to form a new series. The vehicle itself sits at the base of the playset and is built using the ears of the rat head to create shovels. In 1993, an American animated series was created based on the toys. The floor of the prison slides out, just like the comic, allowing Mighty Max to escape reach the sewer plague vehicle. There’s skeletons on either side of the trap, probably the spider’s last few dinners. Moulded on the rear wall is Arak Nid’s spider web. The floor near his control platform flips down, trapping victims behind bars. The top section of the playset contains the elaborate prison Rattus has constructed. It also has plenty of sculpted rats, pipes and barrels mostly moulded in grey. The bottom of the set has a large sticker, showing the pollution pouring into the sewer system. Rattus has been one of the most difficult playsets to collect, the most expensive I’ve added to my collection, but it comes fully equipped with two villains, a vehicle and a large prison play feature. Released among some of my favourite sets like Grips the Hand, Bytes Cyberskull and Sinks Nautilus. Mighty Max traps Rattus comes from the third and final wave of Mighty Max Doom Zones. Then Mighty Max has to escape his prison and defeat them both with the sewer plague vehicle. To defeat the rat, Mighty Max first has to escape from his giant spider henchman, Arak Nid. Rattus, known as Lao Shin, has been using his lair to spread pestilence and plague over the world. Deep in the sewer, Mighty Max comes face to face with a rat hell bent on plaguing the world with vermin.
